Boozy Hot Chocolate

This boozy hot chocolate recipe is made with cocoa powder, real chocolate, and whole milk for the perfect velvety hot chocolate.
Cook Time 5 minutes
Servings 1

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon Cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dark chocolate chips or bar chopped up
  • 1 oz Alcohol of your choice 1 shot

Instructions

  • Add milk, cocoa powder, and sugar into a small pot. Heat over medium-low heat and whisk continuously until the cocoa powder has dissolved.
  • Add chopped dark chocolate or chocolate chips. Stir until the chocolate has melted. Be sure to use a rubber spatula to scrape the sides and bottom of the pot to make sure all the chocolate has combined.
  • Remove from heat and pour into a mug for serving.
  • Add 1 oz (1 shot) alcohol of your choice. I recommend whiskey, vodka, Bailey's, or Kahlua. Reduce to ½ shot if you don’t want it to be as strong.
